Urgent Capital Campaign: Emergency Exit Stairs
Raised so far, thanks to your prayers and generosity…
Thanks to you, Collegio Filippino, the home for Filipino priests sent by their bishops for ongoing formation with further studies in Rome, has in these past years completely renovated its 5-storey building. A dream come true for our Church, this proves that together, we can make things happen!
At this point, we need to add EMERGENCY EXIT STAIRS at the building’s two ends. This is because the existing central staircase forms for now the only way out, which however can be blocked anytime by fire or earthquake, to which Italy is prone.
Though not required during constuction in 1961, this project will help ensure the safety of our 70 residents (priests, sisters and lay), up to 25 guests (bishops and priests), and others who happen to visit.
PARTNER WITH US to raise funds for these emergency stairs. The total needed amounts to $200,000 for both sides, with 5 levels each. This translates to $100,000 for one side, or $20,000 per floor, including roadworks. After project completion, any excess or monthly donation will be used for other building maintenance needs.
YOUR IMPACT
Our graduates provide quality formation to seminaries (training of future priests) and other specialized ministries back home in the Philippines, such as the Biblical apostolate, archives, media, tribunal, ecumenical and interreligious dialogue, cultural heritage, bioethics, etc. Likewise, the Church serves the spiritual and material needs of all, whether Catholics or not, including education, livelihood, orphanages, natural disasters, health care, homes for the elderly, and so on.
Hence you impact not only individual student priests in Rome, but the Church and society back home in the Philippines. Again, we can make this happen!
